WATERLOO — Hello again! Summerloo has treated Socratica well. S24 was a term for experimentation - we tried new things (a lot) and learned (a lot), and we are excited to share it all with you. There are inevitably things we fail to capture in these updates - it’s hard to measure the confidence built or friendships made - but here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to!

Overview of S24

By the numbers

• Over 400 unique attendees at sessions
• 66% of attendees attended their first session this term!
• 25 stage demoers and 8 interactive booths at our end-of-term event
• Average of 37 people signed up for each session, with a max of 65
• Attendees from all faculties and years at the University of Waterloo
• New record of 6 consecutive days of Socratica events
• Socratica attendees this term were Velocity Cornerstone winners, Velocity Pitch Competition finalists, buildspace winners (representing 2 of 20 grant winners from 60k participants), UWaterloo Math Innovation panelists, research grant recipients, and so much more
